Guest blog: How Solon Security works with Care & Repair
David Simpson, Marketing & Sourcing Manager at Solon Security, writes about how his company has worked with Care & Repair Cymru to improve their products and better support older people in Wales.
Over the years we at Solon have developed a close working relationship with Care & Repair Cymru, allowing us to provide a targeted product range that places residents’ needs at our focus.
This relationship is vital to how our product ranges are selected, developed, and marketed. Solon has always drawn on the needs of the ageing community, allowing our solutions to ultimately keep you safe and secure.
As a result of this co-operation, a variety of products and initiatives have been tremendously successful. For example, our handrail bracket was manufactured specifically to Care & Repair requirements and is now installed in a vast number of properties spanning Wales. The handrail bracket was designed so all joints are fully welded for maximum strength and security.
With support from Care & Repair Cymru, we were also able to develop ‘winter warm packs’ to help the most vulnerable and combat fuel poverty - providing basic supplies such as blankets, thermal mugs, hot-water bottles, hats, and gloves. These help you to keep warm and remain safe in your own homes.
A further testament to our co-operation is the core range of alarms, CCTV, and hardware that Solon offer, with these items constantly evolving to meet any challenging needs. Our products are consistent in allowing you to live independently and safely.
It’s great to hear the appreciation of our partnership goes both ways. Rod Evans, Blaenau Gwent & Caerphilly Care & Repair, says that “Solon Security have delivered an informative and courteous service for many years, never too much trouble providing the right equipment solution.”
At Solon, we have built our business around working in partnership with our customers and Care & Repair Cymru have consistently been at the forefront of that philosophy. Our close working relationship has meant we have been able to contribute to numerous projects and initiatives together and, as Solon moves into our 25th year as a company, we look forward to continuing our collaboration to develop helpful initiatives for you.
