Grants help Care & Repair protect staff and clients

Care & Repair Cymru is pleased to have secured two grants from national funders to help supply personal protective equipment (PPE) to frontline staff at Care & Repair agencies.

£44,028.12 has been awarded by the National Lottery Community Fund, which will help fund protective clothing and equipment for frontline staff, as well as information to clients telling them about the support we can offer during the pandemic.

The Wales Council for Voluntary Action (WCVA) has also awarded £66,354.50 to Care & Repair Cymru from its Voluntary Services Emergency Fund, which will also help fund extra PPE for our staff.

Chris Jones, Chief Executive of Care & Repair Cymru, said:

“Care & Repair agencies across Wales are going the extra mile to support older people in their homes, and these two vital grants will help fund the extra protective equipment they need to keep both our staff and our clients safe.

“We’re really grateful to both the National Lottery Community Fund and the WCVA for their support, which has helped make sure that Care & Repair is still here to help older people across Wales with problems in their homes.”
