Services

Care & Repair Western Bay provided a range of services to clients across Neath Port Talbot and Swansea.

We provide a 'holistic' service which means that we try to support clients not just in relation to specific works, but also in relation to any other work, assistance or intervention which the client would benefit from. This can include signposting to other organisations who can assist in areas that we are unable to.

Services include assisting you to improve, repair or adapt your home and are available to individuals aged 55 or over, or of any age with a disability. Some services may be chargeable dependant on eligibility.

Telecare packages will be tailored to suit individual needs. The system operates by using a variety of sensors and detectors placed around the home which are linked to a call monitoring center. They can for example, detect a fall, household flooding or that the gas has been left on. It can also provide peace of mind and improve security by means of ‘bogus’ caller buttons and smoke alarms. Telecare can also be used to monitor your health and ‘well-being’.

A Telecare Assessor from the Local Authority will visit you at home to assess your needs and refer your details to our Telecare Handyperson who will then visit you to install all the equipment that has been recommended.  For further information please call the Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council Assistive Technology Team on 01639 862800.
